Many individuals struggling with addiction do not seek treatment because they believe that they are unable to afford it. Fortunately, there are many affordable and cost-effective rehab centers available across the country to ensure everyone gets the help they need regardless of their ability to pay.
Drug rehab may seem unobtainable to the average person. On TV, we often see the exclusive, high-priced rehab facilities chosen by celebrities, giving us the misconception that this is the norm. The truth is that there are affordable drug rehabilitation centers with cost-effective treatment programs, which can help an addict who wants to change his or her life.
Many people have the impression that inpatients’ treatment is paid by their health insurance. In fact, this is not the case. According to the National Survey of Substance Abuse Treatment Services, N-SSATS, nearly 60 percent of all treatment program admissions do not have health insurance of any kind. The survey also indicated that treatment providers understand the financial burden of rehabilitation with some offering a sliding-scale fee based on income.
Addicts who have difficulty managing costs on their own may choose those programs operated by non-profit organizations that offer different forms of payment assistance to their clients.
Do You Get What You Pay for at a Cost-Effective Drug Rehab?
In the case of affordable and cost-effective drug rehab centers, the answer would be yes – depending on the method of treatment and results, revealed by surveys and reviews that many good treatment centers conduct. Low-cost treatment does not necessarily mean low quality. The purpose of all treatment centers is to give their clients the best overall chance of achieving life-long abstinence by providing services to addicts giving them a chance to get clean. Their reputation and sustainability is directly related to their clients’ experience and ultimate success.
In this regard, affordable treatment programs are no different from the exclusive high-end rehabs; the public they serve may differ based on income, but the emphasis on quality care is the same.

Cost Of Affordable Drug Rehab
The cost of affordable drug rehab varies for each individual based on factors such as insurance and personal income. Some cost-effective rehab facilities may take partial insurance payments if your particular treatment program isn’t fully covered. For individuals without insurance, the better option would be a sliding-scale fee based on personal income. The important thing to remember is that there are affordable drug rehab centers willing to work with you to get the help that you need. The first step is to contact the center intake specialist or call a rehab referral service such as RehabCenter.net, to help guide you to one best suited to your situation
According to the National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH), millions of individuals go without needed addiction treatment every year believing that quality care is unaffordable for them. Addiction treatment services can save lives, so it is essential to explore what options are available and find a center that you can afford.
Factors to Consider in a Rehabilitation Program
It is most important that you how the program will fit your individual needs. Not every program is right for every addict, and just because you are looking for affordable care does not completely limit your options. Take time to find a center that has a treatment model will be comfortable with, which offers services that you think will give you the best chance of a successful recovery.
If you plan on attending a short-term rehab due to cost restrictions, make sure that they offer a comprehensive discharge plan and some sort of aftercare. With willingness and motivation, you will find a quality treatment solution and soon be on the road to recovery from drug addiction.
