49 Utah Women’s Alcohol and Drug Rehab Centers
Medical evidence shows that addiction affects women differently from men. It may not be surprising to learn that women also respond differently to substance abuse treatment – and are more successful at recovery when they undergo gender-specific treatment.
That’s why a Utah drug and alcohol program for women may be your best bet at achieving a drug-free lifestyle. While traditional substance abuse programs are reputable, they may not be able to provide the unique treatment that women truly need. This may be addressing the root of their addiction problems, which could be a history of physical or sexual abuse, as a few common examples.
In Utah, nearly 33 percent of patients admitted at a substance abuse program in 2013 were women, according to a government report. Women sought treatment for every type of substance, with heroin, amphetamines, and other opiates having higher percentages of women abusers.
Join these women by getting help for your substance abuse in Utah. With programs located all over the state, you are sure to find the one that calls to you.
