60 Indiana Women’s Alcohol and Drug Rehab Centers
If we were to assume chemical dependency affects men and women in the same ways, we would be quite mistaken. Women are often more emotionally charged, may be more likely to seek approval from others, and may fear confessing to a substance abuse problem. Addiction threatens a woman physically as well as mentally.
As a woman in Indiana with an addiction problem, you should not feel alone. A 2012 survey conducted by the Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration found that women made up 37 percent of the nearly 26,000 patients reported in treatment. Women also made up a little more than half of those patients in treatment for cocaine addiction.
From drugs to alcohol dependency, Indiana offers women’s specialty programs that understand the ins and outs of women’s addiction care. Many of these programs offer care for children as well as prenatal care. Find a treatment program now that fits your individual needs.
