Tennessee Cigna Plans And Their Coverage

You have a couple of choices for Cigna health care plans in the state of Tennessee. They include EPO plan options, which are Exclusive Provider Organization plans that provide only for in-network care. The other option in this state are Limited Casualty Program plans for medically needy people. The number within the name of these plans (such as 6000) designates the deductible. When you are enrolled in a plan, it will cover some of the cost of care and then require copayments and/or co-insurance from you to cover the rest.

The Cigna Connect HSA Bronze 6000 plan is an EPO plan that covers mental and behavioral health costs including substance abuse care. This plan is a good option because it requires a 0 percent co-insurance from you for in-network providers that offer mental health, behavioral health, and substance abuse treatment. This is the case whether you choose office visits, outpatient care, or inpatient care. The plan does not cover out-of-network providers.

The Cigna Connect Flex Bronze 6400 EPO plan covers office visits, inpatient care, and outpatient care for mental health, behavioral health, and substance abuse treatment. You are expected to cover a 40 percent co-insurance for in-network providers.

The Cigna Health Flex 6400 plan is an LCP plan that covers in-network and out-of-network providers. A 40 percent co-insurance is required for in-network substance abuse, mental health, and behavioral health needs, while 50 percent is necessary should you stray outside it. You also need a pre-authorization for out-of-network inpatient care.

The Cigna Health Savings 6000 LCP plan requires a 0 percent co-insurance for in-network providers office visits, inpatient, and outpatient services to treat substance abuse, behavioral health, and mental health problems. For out-of-network care, it costs a 50 percent co-insurance requires pre-authorization for inpatient care to avoid excessive costs.

The Cigna Connect Flex Silver 4000 EPO plan covers only in-network providers for you to get help for substance abuse, mental health, or behavioral health. For an office visit, expect a $60 copay. For inpatient and outpatient services, the cost is 20 percent co-insurance.

The Cigna Connect HSA Silver 2700 EPO plan requires a 15 percent co-insurance for office visits and inpatient and outpatient services that are in the network. Providers outside the network are not coveredn.

The last option is the Cigna Connect Flex Silver 2250 EPO plan. This plan covers in-network providers. An office visit costs a $60 copay, while inpatient and outpatient services cost 30 percent co-insurance.
