In Oklahoma, there are many options from Blue Cross Blue Shield that could help with your addiction treatment costs. Once you have insurance, you can save further by visiting providers in the carrier’s network.
If you have been intimidated by the price of treatment for an addiction or a mental disorder, it’s important to know that insurance can help you pay less for that care. If you are already covered, check your plan to see what substance abuse and mental health treatment benefits it includes. However, if you still need to get a plan, all individual health plans within state marketplaces include coverage for these types of services.
BCBS Coverage In Oklahoma
There are a wide number of Blue Cross Blue Shield plans to pick from in the state of Oklahoma. Since you have so many choices, you will be able to find one that fits your life by providing a good balance of coverage and costs. Then, you’ll be covered to have help paying for your substance abuse or addiction treatment. You can also have coverage for a co-occurring mental health concern.
On the marketplace, you are able to choose from a variety of plans within the gold, silver, and bronze coverage levels. At the gold level, you spend more on your monthly payments, and the plan provides more coverage. With silver plans, you pay a little less for a little less coverage.
You can also choose between Blue Choice, Blue Preferred, Blue Advantage, and Multi-State plans. There are also Blue Security and Blue Preferred catastrophic plans available in Oklahoma and plan choices that are variations for Native Americans or for cost sharing.

Blue Cross Blue Shield Plan Options
As there are so many plans available in your state through this insurance carrier, this list is not comprehensive. Although the sample plans below provide you with great coverage, it’s worth investigating other Blue Cross plans to see which one is right for your rehabilitation needs.
For example, one gold level option is the Blue Choice Gold PPO 001 plan. It has a $3,250 deductible and requires you to pay a $30 copay for each office visit and no charge for inpatient and outpatient treatment. There is no charge for out-of-network care, although it comes with a higher deductible. There are additional fees and requirements for certain types of treatment on the plan.
An option at the silver level is the Blue Choice Silver PPO 003 plan, which has a $6,000 deductible for an individual that stays in the network. It comes with a $30 office visit copay and no charge for inpatient and outpatient care. There is also no charge for out-of-network care. You’ll need to check for additional expenses for specific types of care.
One of the bronze Blue Choice plans is the Blue Choice Bronze PPO 005 plan. It has an individual deductible of $5,000 for a person who visits providers in the network. In-network office visits cost a $30 copay, while inpatient and outpatient services require a 20 percent co-insurance fee. Out of the network, care costs a 30 percent co-insurance fee for outpatient care or a 40 percent co-insurance for inpatient care. Some treatment types require preauthorization and extra costs.
