Many plans allow you to save even more by choosing health services within the plan’s network. In Louisiana, Blue Cross Blue Shield is one of the insurance companies that can help to insure you.
Ready to enter an inpatient drug or alcohol program, or go to outpatient visits? Maybe you’re at the point where you’re considering how to pay for the treatment that can put your life back on track. There are a few ways to have more affordable treatment, including choosing outpatient care and comparing the prices of various facilities. On top of that, you can use health insurance coverage to pay for a share of your treatment costs.
Blue Cross Blue Shield Plans and Benefits
You have many Blue Cross Blue Shield individual health insurance plans to pick from in the state of Louisiana. You can choose from plan types and different metal levels, which designate the amount the plan pays and the amount you pay. The names of the plans include the deductible amount for staying in the network for your care. Since all of the plans cover both substance abuse treatment and mental health treatment, you can use them for either type or both if you have a dual diagnosis.
There are Blue Cross Blue Shield multi-state plans for Louisiana with differences in deductibles and coverage. One is the $1500 IND PPO plan. If you go to treatment in the network, you will pay a $5 copayment for office visits or the deductible and then a 20 percent co-insurance for inpatient and outpatient services. Outside the network, you pay the out-of-network deductible and then a 40 percent co-insurance. You often need authorization for your care.
