Rehab Centers That Accept Aetna Insurance in Vermont

In order to pay for your drug and alcohol rehabilitation successfully, you want to find the best insurance. Aetna offers Vermont residents multiple policy options. You want to choose a plan that has the lowest deductible, least amount of copay, and the lowest percentage of coinsurance. However, you also want to cover the most common costs of drug and alcohol rehab, such as outpatient and inpatient substance abuse treatment, as well as prescription medications and doctor’s office visits. Here are some of the plans via Aetna to give you an idea of what to expect as you search for healthcare coverage in Vermont.

Aetna Value Plan

The main focus with the Aetna Value Plan is wellness and preventative treatment. You receive rewards for going to preventative care appointments, such as getting a flu shot or going to an annual physical exam. You earn $50 for each of these activities, for a possible total reward of $200. Also, you do not have to pay anything for preventative care.

For doctor visit coverage, you pay $25 for general practitioner visits and $40 to see a specialist. You can see any doctor you want for your treatment and you also get access to PPO networks across the US. This is a great benefit for you if you choose to go to drug and alcohol rehabilitation in another city or state. Knowing that you won’t have to pay more for out-of-network providers will help you make a better personal choice for your substance abuse treatment facility.

As for inpatient hospital services and outpatient programs, you will pay 20 percent of your plan’s allowance with deductible that is capped at $600 per person, per year. If you need a prescription medication, such as for a medically supervised detox or to treat your withdrawal symptoms, you have to pay $10 for generic drugs, 30 percent for brand names, and 50 percent for specialty drugs.

Aetna HealthFund HDHP w/HSA

Under the HealthFund HDHP, you can create an account where you deposit money, tax free, that can be used to cover qualifying health expenses. Every month, $62.50 of the money you pay into your healthcare coverage is placed in your health savings account. You can also add money whenever you want, and if you decide to leave the insurance plan, you keep all of the money in your account. This grants you more control over your budget and finances.

However, this plan has a deductible that must be met before you can receive certain benefits. The amount of the deductible is $1,500 if you are using in-network doctors and $2,500 if you are using out-of-network doctors. Again, like the Aetna Value Plan you can see any licensed physician you want, while retaining access to a national PPO network.

Once you’ve met your deductible, you would only have to pay 10 percent in-network and 30 percent out-of-network for health care expenses. Prescription medications come with copays of $10 for generic and $35 for brand name after you have met your deductible. Keep in mind that you can use your health savings account to cover your healthcare costs. If your costs exceed your HSA funds you would need to pay out of pocket until you reach your deductible.

Neither of these plans offer any special coverage for substance abuse or dual diagnosis treatment, i.e. mental disorders. However, if you utilize any of these Aetna plans, you can save money on your rehabilitation costs. Please contact us at rehabcenter.net to learn more.
