Alcohol and Drug Rehab Centers in Marinette, Wisconsin

Marinette, Wisconsin Alcohol And Drug Rehab Centers

Many people in Wisconsin struggle with alcohol and opioid abuse. Alcohol and drug rehab centers throughout the state are working to combat this crisis through comprehensive and compassionate treatment. Marinette has two locations for outpatient addiction treatment, and is close to several cities that offer treatment programs as well.

Marinette County Health And Human Services ADAPT Clinic

The ADAPT Clinic provides counseling and outpatient treatment for substance abuse and other mental health issues. Treatment includes education and therapy for the individual, group, and family members, and may also involve journaling, exercise, self-help groups, and nutritional support. This facility is staffed with a psychiatrist, certified substance abuse counselors, and highly trained therapists.

Libertas offers outpatient addiction treatment for adults in Marinette and Green Bay. Treatment explores social, vocational, educational, psychological, and spiritual aspects of a person’s life. The goal is to help individuals live more productively and meaningfully. Individual counseling, group therapy, family sessions, and education are incorporated into the intensive outpatient program (IOP).

Alcohol And Drug Rehab Centers Near Marinette

Most people benefit from inpatient addiction treatment, since it is intensive and immerses them in a therapeutic environment. Marinette does not have an inpatient drug rehab center, but there are inpatient programs in nearby cities, as well as varying levels of outpatient care.

Jackie Nitschke Center, Green Bay

Jackie Nitschke Center provides several levels of care for addiction, including a 28-day residential program, intensive outpatient program (IOP), outpatient care, and alumni meetings. The philosophy at this rehab center is that addiction can happen to individuals in all walks of life. In an effort to make treatment more accessible, the Jackie Nitschke Center gives a full scholarship to two people each month.

Substance Abuse In Marinette County And Wisconsin

Rep. John Nygren of Marinette helped bring into effect the Heroin, Opioid, Prevention, and Education (HOPE) Agenda to combat rising rates of opioid abuse in Wisconsin. Part of the HOPE Agenda is a Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) that requires doctors to report prescriptions within 24 hours and look at a patient’s history before prescribing.

Rates of opioid prescriptions have dropped in the last couple of years in Wisconsin, as has doctor shopping (patients visiting several doctors to obtain multiple prescriptions). The HOPE Agenda also supports greater access to naloxone, an opioid-overdose reversal agent, and Good Samaritan laws that support individuals calling 911 in case of an overdose.

Unfortunately, opioid overdose rates are still high in Wisconsin, and are rising at alarming rates.

Find The Best Addiction Treatment Program

Finding the best addiction treatment program for your needs is an important part of treatment success. The best program is not always the closest. A willingness to travel for treatment allows you to explore more options and choose the right fit. Also, while it may be desirable to stay near family and friends during treatment, this can be detrimental to progress. Getting out of your familiar environment can give you the fresh start you need to focus on healing.
