Some therapies offered in their programs include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), family sessions, individual therapy, art and vocational training, and more.

The intensive outpatient program for adults with co-occurring disorders (mental health issue/substance abuse) aims to treat each disorder at the same time. County residents are eligible for a sliding scale of payment, making treatment more accessible for the community.

Substance Abuse In Bridgewater

In early 2018, Rutgers University and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School's Division of Addiction Psychiatry hosted a free Narcan training event. Narcan is a medication containing the drug naloxone, which can reverse the effects of a deadly opioid overdose.

The training provided free doses of Narcan, a rescue breathing mask, and gloves. This program is a way to address the ongoing opioid problem in the U.S. Although Narcan isn't the only solution to combat drug addiction, community leaders in Bridgewater hope it can save lives and make the township safer.
