10 Alcohol and Drug Rehab Centers in Brockton, Massachusetts

The wind in Brockton, Massachusetts is constantly blowing at an average of 14 miles per hour, making it the second windiest city in the nation. The city is only .4 mph shy of the record, only beat out by neighboring Weymouth Town. Unfortunately, Brockton is also affected by drug and alcohol abuse. To address these issues, the city provides access to detoxification and inpatient treatment, along with residential housing for patients recovering from a substance use disorder.

Rehab Centers In Brockton, Massachusetts

Brockton, Massachusetts is home to nearly a dozen alcohol and drug rehab centers. This includes several of the region’s leading residential treatment facilities for inpatient care.

High Point Treatment Center

The Brockton Meadowbrook Campus of High Point Treatment Center provides residential care for male adults. Along with a residential housing program, High Point Treatment Center provides detoxification programs, stabilization services using clinical methods, and transitional services for patients entering a sober living lifestyle. High Point Treatment Center has 35 beds in a low-intensity environment.

High Point Treatment Center: CASTLE

In another division of High Point Treatment Center, teens receive substance use disorder treatment. The Clean and Sober Teens Living Empowered (CASTLE) is a short-term treatment program. This program includes 24 hours of intensive treatment for alcohol and/or drugs, dual diagnosis care, detoxification services, acute stabilization, psycho-educational group therapy, and aftercare planning.

Luminosity Behavioral Health Services

At Luminosity Behavioral Health Services (LBHS), adults, teens, and children can receive substance use disorder treatment. As a comprehensive facility that is multilingual, LBHS offers motivational interviewing (MI), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and individual, group, and family counseling. As a dual diagnosis provider, LBHS can address both substance abuse and mental illness for a whole-person approach.

Edwina Martin House

The Edwina Martin House has served women and mothers dealing with substance use since 1984. The facility offers drug detoxification units on site, short-term rehabilitation, nutritional education, medication-assisted treatment, overdose prevention training, education for domestic violence, and assistance with re-entering the workforce. At the Edwina Martin House, up to 21 women and four infants can reside in the facility at one time.

Substance Abuse In Brockton & Plymouth County

In August 2018, 25 people were arrested in Brockton and Boston for drugs including cocaine, fentanyl, and heroin. Back in November 2017, an even bigger bust requiring more than 100 police officers removed 1,500 grams of fentanyl from the streets. This suggests Brockton is working diligently to deal with the heroin and opioid problem that has plagued New England for the last decade.

Traveling For The Best Program

Look at the available facilities to know whether Brockton is the right location for you to enter substance abuse treatment. However, there is no need to settle for a rehab program just because it’s nearby or in your hometown. Be open to travel to find the right program for the person in need.
