Or, if your travels take you by rail, the Amtrak station in Atlanta gives you easy access to a taxi, or rental car to bring you to this small town.
Weather
Once here, expect to find average temperatures in the mid-60’s. If you enjoy outdoor winter activities, the 30-degree winters are comfortable for your cold-weather fun. The longer spring and fall seasons provide opportune weather for the Six Flags Theme Park located just outside of Lithia Springs. If you enjoy amusement park rides, food and entertainment, this is the ideal location for you. Plus, the weather and location are near the Sweetwater Creek State Park in which you can fish, hike, picnic, feed ducks, kayak, rent a pedal boat or test your balance on a stand up paddle board. Spend time in nature during your recovery to help keep you focused and centered.
Lodging
Since the Cobb/Douglas center is an outpatient facility, you will need local accommodations. Many hotels are near the Six Flags park, which is South-East of Lithia Springs. Choose from the Courtyard at Six Flags, the Hampton Inn and Suites or the Springhill Suites Marriott. If you are looking for something less family-friendly and closer to town, select the Fairfield Inn, Courtyard by Marriott or the Intown Suites.
Employment Opportunities
If you decide to remain in Lithia Springs and need to work during and after treatment, the Six Flags park has many opportunities from admissions to the warehouse. Also, the 88 restaurants in town are terrific food service positions. Or, seek employment in one of the various bank, grocery stores or retail sales positions.
