56 Arkansas Outpatient Alcohol and Drug Rehab Centers
Many residents in Arkansas struggle with substance abuse or addiction and are unsure of where to turn to get the help that they need to overcome it. Fortunately, the state of Arkansas offers a variety of outpatient treatment programs to help individuals get on the path to sobriety and a healthy life.
Aptly named, the Natural State features more than 600,000 acres of lakes, 9,700 miles of streams and rivers, two-and-a-half million acres of national forest, and 50 state parks. Also home to a proud musical legacy, Arkansas is the birthplace of Johnny Cash and Scott Joplin, with one of the largest producers of handmade dulcimers located in Mountain View.
But even with the many state wonders to enjoy, the people of Arkansas are not immune to substance abuse. The number of drug overdose deaths doubled between 1999 and 2013, and most of these were from prescription drugs. Arkansas also has one of the worst teen prescription pain reliever abuse problems in the country.
The good news is that Arkansas offers many quality drug and alcohol treatment programs to help addicts find their way back to the light.
Recover From Addiction And Get Your Life Back with Outpatient Treatment
Outpatient rehab is a good choice for people who have struggled with mild to moderate addiction for a year or less, and who have a good support system in place already. Most outpatient programs focus on helping the addict recover and stay sober. Here are a few outpatient treatment programs in Arkansas:
Quapaw House Recovery & Wellness Center
Quapaw House Recovery Center located in Hot Springs National Park offers two outpatient drug and alcohol treatment programs, intensive and traditional. The intensive program revolves around four group meetings per week, Monday through Thursday, for 12 weeks. It offers an information packet for each family member, explaining the addiction as a family disease. Through individual and family counseling, the intensive program incorporates 12 step education, living and coping skills education, relapse prevention, and attention to family relationships.
