Dr. Alan Weiner, MD

Dr. Alan Weiner is the Medical Director at Swift River. Prior to working in addiction medicine, Dr. Weiner worked as a family physician at a group practice for 25 years. Five years ago, the opportunity of practicing addiction medicine entered his life—an opportunity that Dr. Weiner says has been the most challenging, yet most rewarding work he’s ever done.

Dr. Weiner, a native of the northeast, earned his medical degree at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his undergraduate degree at Duke University. He completed his Family Practice residency program in Rochester, New York.
