With 245,000 people in South Carolina using illicit drugs in the past month and 1,523,000 using alcohol, the chances that they will be arrested for alcohol and drug related crimes increases. Court-ordered programs can often eliminate future arrests for similar drug related charges as people have the chance to clean up their lives and become a contributing part of society.
